Our Fate is In Your Hands

A Message from Colin Smith, Owner of Balmoral Restaurant:

Balmoral Restaurant announced over the weekend that our finances will only allow us to stay open through part of May. The immediate response to this news and the outpouring from the community has been amazing. We have received many kind wishes and pledges of support, with indications that you want us to survive and that you want to help Balmoral.

Because of this, we are putting together a contingency plan to try to keep Balmoral Restaurant partially open after May 10.  Our goal is to stay afloat until we can reopen full time for in-house dining.

But we need your help to do that.

It is day-by-day for us now. Balmoral Restaurant will remain open until Sunday, May 10, for sure.  During this time, customers may call to place orders as usual — but you may also order for any future Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, with payment not due until pickup. We will be available to take orders daily at 331-901-5224. If we miss you, please leave a message. Or send us an email at manager@balmoralrestaurant.com with your name and phone number.

We will post on our website and in social media of any changes to our status.

Balmoral Restaurant was built on providing the highest standards and food quality, and we’ve pledged to always maintain that.  And, working with the Campton Hills Police Department, we have also pledged to continue supporting families in need throughout our community, as long as we remain open.  Your support of Balmoral supports the neediest among us, as well.

I don’t know what the future holds.  I’m not alone in the restaurant world in feeling the pain and stress of this situation. I respect the efforts of every restaurateur in the Fox Valley.   I am just trying to look after my restaurant, my people, my customers and the good work we’ve been able to do in this community.  All along, we have been determined to survive, but we can’t do it alone.

I very much appreciate everyone who has reached out to us with the many different offers of help, from banking referrals to a GoFundMe campaign.  What we really want is to do what we do best, which is to serve our customers.  We have tried to stretch our money out — but now we are down to the last of it.  We simply need 250 orders a week to stay afloat until we hope to reopen fully.
